These pieces are small worlds contained within glass bottles, vials, and bell jars. I love to collect natural objects and curiosities including insects, bones, crystals, minerals, botanical specimens and anything else interesting I can get my hands on.  These small worlds which I call "curios capes" place these objects into scenes that may be much like their natural habitat (much like the wildlife dioramas at a natural history museum) or into fantastical situations that do not exist in reality.



I try to take these specimens and creatures that are past their time of living in this world and use them as a reminder of how beautiful they are and the beautiful art that nature creates.
